I have a 17.5 hp Kohler engine. 04 John Deere L110 mower. This starter works very well! He has a very strong and fast start. The only thing I don't like is the starter head. Keep your old starter until you get this new one. Hold two starters side by side, see where the screws go. I found the new head was 1/16th smaller than my old one. I had to get two washers, one for both bolts, and place them between the engine block and the starter. Except this great little starter for your money soured. I've had it for a month now, no problems so far.
