Review on Fel Pro 61354 Throttle Mounting Gasket by Lamar Hopkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It just seals up well.

This is a gasket. I replaced the throttle body with my grandparents' Altima and replaced the old gasket with a Fel-Pro, and like almost every other Fel-Pro gasket I've ever bought, it works perfectly. I think it might be a little thinner than the original but it still works very well. I think if you have a problem it's more with the mating surfaces than the gasket. Clean the intake manifold with fine sandpaper or steel wool and this gasket should work just fine. Many people skip this step and then blame the poetry. Also, I should note that the Altima, at least the 03 and 04 that I replaced the throttle body on, don't like to relearn with a scan tool at idle. I've used a few different expensive scan tools that have a throttle relearn option and none of them have ever worked on 03 and 04 Altimas. Locate the throttle relearn procedure and perform it manually. It's tedious and involves a lot of Mississippi counting, turning the ignition on and off and hitting the gas pedal at certain times, but it's still doable without having to go to the dealer. I've done this about a dozen times on different cars and I rarely get it right the first time, but I always get it right in the end. Once you do this, he should purr like a kitten.
