Background: New Lenovo 900 laptop with USB-C port. Requires a USB-C to DisplayPort connection for an external monitor. I ended up with 4 different USB-C to Displayport adapters (USB-C male on one end and Displayport female on the other). Two of them didn't work at all, one was causing graphical artifacts and the last one worked fine about 50% of the time but sometimes had graphical artifacts or intermittently dropped the connection for about 5 seconds causing the monitor to spin off. Black. I finally decided to spend a little more and buy this cable. Worked great out of the box. No artefacts no connectivity issues etc. Definitely worth the extra money. I only wish I decided to buy 4 separate adapters before finally trying the cable. The cable appears to be of good build quality. Good strong attachment points for fork etc.
