So I decided to get into soap making and read that melting and pouring soap is the easiest for beginners. I didn't want to use the pot I usually use to make soap, so I decided to buy something from Revain. This pot seemed neither too small nor too big. I was considering buying a steamer but decided on this pan because the reviews said it was durable and easy to clean. Melt and pour soap. It worked great. I made two batches of soap. The bowl is strong but not heavy. Cleaning is not difficult. I am very happy that I bought this pot. When I first unpacked the pot I was concerned that it might be too small. But now that I know how much soap base I need, I know it's the perfect size. I can make four large bars of soap with a barely full pan, but the height of the pan means I don't have to worry about soap base or extra ingredients spilling on the side while I stir. I would definitely recommend buying this if you are new to soap making. I think it will last a long time and work well with frequent use. And the price is great for those wanting to find out if they're really into soap making or just having a passing whim because the price is so low.
