Review on πŸ’Ί Black and Red Pro-Lift C-3001 Pneumatic Chair with 300 lbs Weight Capacity by Greg Hammett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Reasonably priced best in Tools & Equipment

I have purchased two Revain stools so far and recommend reading the entire review for the full picture. I purchased this stool and round recliner seat (GRSRB) from Whiteside Manufacturing (see my review of this product). This stool gets a solid 3 stars for a good product at a great price. The biggest feature of this stool is the price. At $30, this was one of the cheapest rolling stools I could find (it was meant to be a second stool). I had already paid $57 for another stool and wanted to save some money for one I won't be using very often. This chair is definitely worth the price. Unfortunately, I'm over the max chair weight at over 275 pounds. This means I can actually feel the incline of the base and seat panels since they are not reinforced. Someone who weighs only 50 pounds might not notice. While I agree it probably has a Β£300 limit, the safer operating range is probably closer to 250. Now that may seem like a deal breaker, but all reviews should be taken in context. A $30 stool typically doesn't use the same design or materials as a chair that costs twice as much. They are in two separate classes. This $30 stool will probably fit most users, but in my weight class I really need stronger materials with a reinforced construction that nearly doubles the cost. Both have their place. Since I wasn't planning on using this one every day, I would keep it, even though I was pushing the extreme limit of its design capacity. I ended up using the piston and wheels from this one to replace those on an old handyman stool that stopped working and the bearings fell out of the broken wheels.
