Review on Jigsaw Dremel Moto-Saw (MS20-1/5) by Janis Cerins ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, not worth the money.

Almost immediately, it was slightly modified so that it was possible, although not very easy, to work with pinless files. Nothing complicated, I threw out the presser foot, which is still of little use, and slightly bored the slots for the file in plastic parts. Worked on the strength of 30 hours (for almost a year and a half, so I didn’t overdo it) until the drive rod broke (a piece of very hard 2mm wire, possibly made of stainless steel, was wound in 2 turns on a sleeve that freely rotates on the eccentric shaft, at the other end there is a hook , clinging to an elastic plate, to which the file also clings - and so this wire stupidly burst). It is necessary for repair, it is not clear to me where to take such a wire, or how to wind it there. At the same time, with the repair of another Dremel, the experience is still sad - Bosch, apparently, does not need all this.

Pros
  • Compactness. Turnover adjustment.
Cons
  • Very short-stroke, the stroke of the file is actually 8 millimeters, respectively, the files locally overheat and quickly break. Unreliable. Pin files, under which it is sharpened, are expensive and very rough. If you cut out a closed contour, the actual diameter of the hole for the file is at least 6 mm. The files cling at random, it is almost impossible to set them exactly, so a straight cut, despite all the parallel stops and other shnyaga, is not with this tool.

With its pros: The ability to attach to the table and work on weight. Has some cons: I could not make an EVEN cut, no matter how hard I tried.
