Volume up/down and by itself

Volume up/down and by itself. Very annoying to use. The first received did the same. We returned it and sent a replacement. The replacement does the same. We had to cut out the dash to fit it so now we have a cut out that may not fit the next stereo we need to buy to replace it. I could see one not working but the replacement does the same. Very dissatisfied!
