As good if not better than OEM, don't worry about the extra port on top. The extra port is only because it is mass produced and this design fits several different vehicle types. The additional connection is sealed and you simply connect your fuel lines exactly the same in the exact position of your original. If you have a problem with an inaccurate fuel gauge, I can almost guarantee that it's either because you bent or misplaced the float when you attached it to the assembly, or you didn't push the pump deep enough into your gas tank to let them not caulk etc. (CHECK YOUR RUBBER GASKET, THIS IS INCLUDED BECAUSE PRESSURE IS IMPORTANT) Recheck your work and reinstall if inaccurate. I have used these pumps many times and have not yet received a defective unit (aside from those damaged in transit). The pump works perfectly in sub-zero temperatures and has driven 80,000 miles without failure. Chances are, the only way you can get away with buying an electric fuel pump part is if you're on a tight budget, as you can usually reuse the original white plastic housing and wiring harness. Good luck and don't hesitate and don't buy the cheapest models, it's original quality and excellent guarantee.
