Water lines too short

I had to return this product because the water lines were too short. The description says 24 inches, which is way too small for my setup. We are building a new house and the connections and floors are standard height. The table top is also in standard height. The leads are long enough to barely touch the connectors, but it takes another inch to install. Be sure to measure beforehand. Most faucets have 2-3 inches more to give them enough length. Another note: the tap on the underside of the sink is made of plastic. It seemed to fit great and hold the faucet securely in place, but it's worth noting.
