Review on πŸ”Œ Klein Tools ET60: Battery-Free Low Voltage Digital Multimeter for AC and DC Voltage Testing by Wayne Ohlrogge

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to use and no battery required

I'm renovating my bathroom and need a voltage tester to make sure my lights and outlets are really off before attempting to swap them out. I'm new to the household and don't really need a meter with all sorts of readings, so this Klein Tools ET60 immediately caught my attention. I love that it doesn't require a battery and gets power from what it's testing. When the cords or outlet are "hot," the indicator on the meter will illuminate. If they are turned off, nothing is displayed on the meter. There is no audible alarm or notification in this meter, but the AC and DC readings and voltages up to 600 are clearly labeled. As long as you have placed the sensors in the right places, the device will work properly. This tool does not provide users with accurate measurements or impedance readings. It's a simple measurement - see if it's hot - something like that. The sensors have caps and snap onto the back of the instrument. Interchangeable wires. For my needs, this is an inexpensive and easy-to-use tool that I trust for simple home repairs and upgrades. It won't make all users happy, but given the few home projects I do, it's perfect for m.
