Bought to join pieces of water heater insulation panels which I cut to make garage door insulation panels. A few years ago I bought pre-manufactured vinyl covered garage door insulation blankets and they worked great. They don't seem to be made anymore so after installing a new garage door I made my own. This tape was perfect for the vinyl floor to hold the pieces together. It also adhered well to the edges of the garage doors. For strong adhesion I would recommend cleaning the surfaces with alcohol or acetone first and letting it evaporate before applying the tape. Make sure you apply it where you want it the first time. as it is difficult to remove. If you accidentally touch the sticky sides, you'd better cut off another piece because it's almost impossible to break the tape without tearing it. Because of how aggressively it adheres to vinyl, I think it would also be a good choice for plastic sheeting. and vapor barrier.
