Better than expected
I actually bought these to protect and hydrate my lateral ankle. It also helped get rid of dry feet. Some of that dryness turns into soft balls that stick to the gel pads. Although it was not difficult to clean / clean it. I wear size 8-8 1/2 women's shoes and after an hour of wear they shed a lot and start to curl. I just felt it would be nice if it was tighter and didn't move too much.
