Review on ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ Dorman 919-840 Front Fuel Line - OE FIX for Chevrolet / GMC Models by Scott Welch

It can be done, but not easily.

2003 Silverado 4 wd . If you give up easily, don't take this job. Remove the fuel pump relay, run the engine until it stalls. 13mm. Or a half inch box end wrench, stand on something so you can reach the screw on the back of the engine and remove the PCV valve from the valve cover. You have to feel for the bolt, it's not visible. I tied the rope to the wrench and lowered it with my other hand and finally put the wrench on the bolt to loosen the bolt. Under the truck, unscrew the front drive shaft at the differential and slide it to the side. Remove the lines on the tank, I had a line that kept the gas venting from the tank's safe line higher than the tank to stop. We take scissors for metal and cut out the old lines. I pulled out the canister to get to the lines on the tank. It took some time to clean up the rust and paint the frame behind the gas lines before installing the new lines. The most difficult are the lines above the trance. Both expansion and new construction. Leave all fasteners loose until all lines are retracted. I did it in my driveway, the gas exhausts aren't that bad but be careful. Also new lines come with rubber caps on the ends that I glued them to. They tend to fall off during installation. I don't want dirt getting into new lines.
