This cable has a USB connector on one end, but it can also be made of dirt and rock as it doesn't register when plugged into different devices. It doesn't matter if it was connected to the camera or not. If I don't return it immediately for a refund I would be interested in cutting it open to see what's inside. I can't think of ANYTHING that the wires just hang out there or get haphazardly soldered to the ports on the USB connector. waste of money.
