Excellent pedals! Super light! Very strong. Anyone who claims these pedals are uncomfortable is wearing the wrong cycling shoes! The bottom of the shoe should be very thick and very stiff. If you think about what kind of shoes you would wear if you had to climb stairs or armor all day, the same goes for cycling. These pedals are a single piece of machined aluminum. They have excellent grip and rigidity. Also, as far as pedals falling apart, you need to check the bolts on the bike almost every ride, nuts and bolts come loose, that's common practice and knowledge. If you don't want to twist the Allen key, you should check your bike before use. The first 100 miles you have to tighten so many things on the bike, every few miles on the first ride of a newly installed product the nuts and bolts need to be retightened. Don't blame the manufacturer for ignorance.
