My rating system: I'm not a fan of over-rating. You won't get 4-5 stars if you live up to expectations. Just like in a real-world educational/work environment, average work and effort earns you a C. Note: Excellent customer service may earn a star if needed. 5 stars - absolutely wonderful. A unique device. Light years ahead of its competition. Bulletproof. Works forever. 4 Stars - Works better or performs better than comparable devices or better build quality than expected. 3 stars - does what it should. Works as advertised. Arrived here on time. Meets basic expectations. 2 Stars - Doesn't work properly/as advertised or lasts for a use or two. Disgustingly cheap fit and finish. Expensive. Sent from China by slow boat. 1 star - not possible at all. Broken or defective. No customer service. Sparks/smoke when switched on. Potential to burn down your house. 4 stars. I've tested several HDMI cables and it can identify good cables with all pins connected and cheap cables with all grounds connected together. Also tests RJ45 cables. It only checks the end connections of the cable. It won't tell you if you can run 8K on a Dollar Store cable. YOU have to turn it on and off. Translating the instructions from Chenglish into English is not that difficult.
