My device started dropping packets (no connection - packets!) after about a month of use. It drops packets on both wireless and WIRED connections. Rebooting helped initially, but then I had to reboot more and more times until it didn't help at all. You can still browse the web (sort of), but VPNs, file sharing, remote desktop sharing, and gaming will become all but impossible. Telephone troubleshooting, return of goods (shipping costs of course). In exchange, I received a used router WITH EXACTLY SUCH PROBLEM. After doing a little research on the Internet, I found that this is a common problem that manifests itself on this model after a few months of operation. Apparently, people send their blocks back for exchange - and DLink just exchanges them, and you get back someone else's broken router. I ended up buying another router (not DLink, of course). 802.11g isn't nearly as reliable as 802.11a (microwaves and such), but at least it works.
