Bought this speaker for my laptop because the speaker on it is terrible for music. This speaker is like a small soundbar. It plugs into the headphone jack and is USB powered. So it's pretty easy to set up. The sound is much better than laptop speakers. There are two LEDs on the front that you can turn off with the switch on the back. But I like the bright color it spins in. The volume control is located at the top center of the control panel. It's a rotary control, so the volume adjusts fairly quickly compared to the button-press style. All in all, this is a good sound upgrade. Great value for money in this price range.
