The tips of these pens are nice and thin for better precision and detail. Ink flow is also good. I bought these pens for art purposes and needed a drawing pen with a good fine point. Sometimes I use white pencils to draw on my drawings or to add extra emphasis to an object. I tested these pens on black paper and on acrylic sheet mixed with Liquitex potting medium so that when dry it was glossy. It looked very good on both surfaces and dried well on the glossy surface of my painting although I thought it wouldn't. Note that when you draw on an uneven surface, the ink tends to splatter, which can make working with crafts or textured parts difficult. But overall these pens do a great job.
