I have a 2017 GMC Denali CrewCab with a 6 1/2" short deck. I have both a Bigfoot Slide-In Camper and a Fifth-Wheel RV (no, I don't use them at the same time.) I wanted to install an Amp BedStep2 on the back of the driver's side so I can reach the bed to lock/unlock the fifth wheel and also just get to things in the bed. Later model pickups are about four" taller than the old 3/4 ton pickups I've owned in the past! Either that or I've gotten smaller with age, uh, probably both! π I was very concerned that this Amp BedStep2 would not fit with the TorkLift Camper Tie-down as both use a front deck cross member and also both need to be attached to the truck frame. In order for it to work install I placed the stage pivot mechanism in the two rear mounting holes of the amplifier stage side support bracket, which I flipped over. I used a pair of zinc plated 3/8" x 1" cap screws to attach the two front side support mounting holes to the aluminum corner support. This moved the entire step back from the TorkLift tube. The plastic step was fixed in the front position. When folded, the step protrudes approximately 3/8" beyond the TorkLift tube, leaving room for the TorkLift tube locking pin! Fits perfectly and works!
