Review on 🔧 Yost Vises 906 AS Heavy-Duty Steel by Greg Baker

To be clear, I did not put a rod or tube in this vise and hit it with a hammer to shape it. If you're using one in this way, my review won't help. However, I really like this compact, well-designed vise. A design point that stands head and shoulders above the comp is that the base allows the vise to rotate 360 degrees. Art! If you want to take full advantage of your vise on a small workbench, you need to be able to swivel to one or both sides, so 360 degree rotation is important. It holds up very well, strong, so stable, after all there are two twist locks, count them two, levers so one on each side. I love this feature. I installed this on a pre-built 4 foot workbench and the size is a great fit. They would want nothing more. I found, as with most new vises, they had some dirty grease that needed to be wiped off and the main spindle threads were dry. I oiled the threads, they are smooth as silk. Do this, it will improve your overall experience. I'm 66 and doubt I'll be buying more in the future but you should. money well spent.
