Review on πŸ”§ NewYall TPS Throttle Position Sensor by John Jones

Revainrating 1 out of 5

WARNING Dangerous product

I installed this throttle position sensor on my 2003 Mercury Marauder 4.6 about 45 days ago. Began to show withdrawal symptoms after about 30 days. I thought it was an accident - for some reason the engine started by itself. When I was driving on the freeway this morning, it went off completely. Without my foot on the pedal, the engine started to accelerate uncontrollably and I couldn't stop it. I had to turn the key and turn off the car while driving at high speed to stop the acceleration. I managed to turn on the hazard lights and pull over the lane to the curb. I tried twice to start the car from the curb, each time the engine immediately revved to the red line and I had to turn it off immediately. I got out of the car, opened the hood and turned off the throttle position sensor. Get in the car - problem solved. Now I need to buy a new throttle position sensor - and I won't get that budget part again. I can't stress this enough - this sensor nearly cost me my life and possibly the lives of others on the freeway this morning. My advice is don't buy it.
