So far, so good. on Power Accessories

I've been using this adapter for a few weeks to power my Yaesu FT-60 radio. That was great. No problem with that. My radio requires at least 1.5 amps to transmit which is why I bought this unit. Most adapters sold at Best Buy or other local retailers are rated for 1.3 amps or less. I read reviews that mentioned that the holes that the tips plug into aren't marked + or - so I used my multimeter to check polarity. It seems that the side that says "TIP" is the side that the pin marked + on the tip should go to. The built-in ferrite bead is also a great feature. I have had no reports of hum or other electrical interference from other radio amateurs while transmitting. That's a good adapter.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Chunky
