This device is working properly. My old gaming table adapter failed (poor contact in socket) and this one works great as a replacement.

I am NOT AT ALL satisfied with this product. The pins broke after 3 months - snapped and fell out! Remember I used one size and after it broke (within 3 months) the second size broke within a month! This item is now completely unusable for its intended purpose. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT RELIABLE!

The charger is universal in the sense that many adapters can be connected to the cable with either polarity. The danger is that any device that has a battery or that can be damaged by reverse polarity. The plug at the end of the cable is NOT marked with polarity, although the adapters are marked "plus" and "minus". Without using a voltmeter to test, the device and/or charger can be easily damaged or destroyed.

This converter can be used from 0mA to 2500mA or 2.5A I can't find how to adjust the power of the amplifier. Think it's just a 12V power supply with different plug sizes. I've been using this adapter for a few weeks to power my Yaesu FT-60 radio. That was great. No problem with that. My radio requires at least 1.5 amps to transmit which is why I bought this unit. Most adapters sold at Best Buy or other local retailers are rated for 1.3 amps or less. I read reviews that mentioned that the holes that the tips plug into aren't marked + or - so I used my multimeter to check polarity.
