Review on Dremel SM540 3-Inch Tile Diamond Wheel for Efficient Tile Cutting, Black by Corey Evans

Great little blade

I used this blade on my Saw-Max and a very cheap tile cutter/breaker to cut 450m². Porcelain stoneware feet in the basement and it worked great. However, there was a lot of dust from the saw, so I cut most of the work outside. I bought three blades because I figured I would definitely need at least two and it would be nice to have a spare blade, but I only got about 2/3 of the way through the first blade. Full disclosure, I've only used it for hard or custom cuts and have used a cutter/crowbar for regular, short, straight cuts, but this blade has performed exceptionally well for the tricky cuts I've used it for. I'm definitely impressed. It got a little hot when I made multiple cuts in a row, but that's okay. As I mentioned earlier, cutting porcelain stoneware with it gets pretty dusty, so you might want to invest in a feather duster. I don't usually rant about the importance of protective gear, but I wore a dust mask and goggles while cutting and I'm glad I did. I slapped my face several times with a small piece of china—once so hard it bled. Don't be the guy who goes blind in one eye because he doesn't wear glasses.
