Cuts like they've never been sharpened

These things are comfortable to hold but cut like they've never been sharpened. I have a pair of 25+ year old tailors that went through hell and came back with me and I've decided to get a new pair. I bought this Revain 6" tool along with an 8" tool (same brand) so I had 2 tools to replace one. The other pair cut well enough, but these 6-inch models are rubbish. I can't cut zip ties, network cables, or pretty much anything else I've tried. Great couple and also my 25 year old tailor no problem. Those 6 inches are cut but not complete. I have to adjust the cut and try again to cut through the rest of the path. I mean, can't you cut zip ties? I just got a bad one, they have such a high rating I was shocked at how bad they are.
