Review on ๐Ÿ“ป Enhanced Metra 70-5601 Radio Wiring Harness for Ford 95-98 with Tuner Bypass by Casey Yuh

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does the job for a unique system

The upper 95-97 Ford JBL system is unique in that the head unit sends a proprietary digital signal to the rear amp and the amp produces decent output. Subwoofer amplifier. 98 the amplifier was integrated into the head. Other radios send line signals to the harness. "Integration" is not possible with this special system. Don't even think about using the line out with this amp, don't waste your time. This is a paperweight if you're not using a stock head. Do not believe me? Get the schematic and get the speaker outputs out of your head. You need this product. It has 9 wires (extra for power antenna). There is also an RF wire for the antenna. Why 4 stars? Because it must have 3 extra wires for the SUB amp that works great on its own. On the factory wiring harness to the subwoofer, red and black are the +/- tone and white is the pickup of the amp. You can connect the subwoofer output of an amplifier or simply combine two line outputs that are not used anyway. If your stereo leaves the power antenna on all the time, you can share this cable with the amplifier to save one cable. Simply cut the RCA cable and connect two wires that are the same length as the harness. I was able to insert the bent, bare ends of the wire into the top of the auxiliary connector and wrap the tape tightly around it. Another option would be to shorten the subwoofer wiring harness, which is not a good idea if you ever plan to sell the car. know if it is necessary or not. Makes no noise. I just know it all sounds great.
