Review on πŸ”Š Nobsound Little Bear MC102 Mini 2-in-1-Out Stereo Audio Switch: Headphone and Speaker Selector Box for Audio Sharing (Black) by Justin Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Jury Is Still Out On This One

The control looks good and does just what I wanted it to. However, I am fairly certain there is a drop in volume level (turned up to max) and sound quality when using this. I have yet to do an A/B comparison between this control and the other cheap switcher I was using. I'll either adjust my rating up or down when I confirm one way or the other. I don't expect audiophile quality from a cheap little control at all, but I expected it to match the other switch's capability. My application is a home built arcade / MAME cabinet that can also stream music. I'm using the PC audio out and a bluetooth receiver as my two audio sources. The audio sources run into this control and out to an Alesis 100 watt power amp. (just 100 watts of clean power, it's a sound reinforcement amp not typical home stereo) The Alesis is powering a pair of 2 way speakers at the top of the cab and a small sub in the bottom. I keep the volume of the amp set at about 40%. (plenty of power but no hiss) I wanted a passive volume control between the sources and the amp because the amp is in the back of the cabinet and isn't easily accessible. Some game ROMs are louder than others and you always want volume control over music.I'll try to follow up fairly soon.
