Working Well, and Hints

I'm using an MC102 with a single set of stereo speakers to allow selection of two computers as sound sources. It's working fine for me. I set the MC102's volume knob at maximum, then set my computers' volume controls as desired. I can then use the MC102's knob for a quick volume reduction when needed (about 1/4 turn from "normal listening" to "barely audible"), or use the mute button if needed. In either case, I don't have to bother with which computer I'm listening to or how (in?)convenient…

Pros
  • How to use: ① connect two audio sources (like CD player / computer) to A/B ports and one audio output (like active speakers) to IN/OUT port; ② connect one audio source to IN/OUT port and two audio outputs to A/B port

Good Enough For My Needs

I have two laptops and three monitors. I need to switch between the two. This device allows me to do this but there is a little bit of machine noise (static) when I have both computers connected. The device allows me to switch as expected, but there may be a little machine noise when the volume is too high. For me, the volume knob has to stay around 15% or less while the sound settings on the computers need to be raised to have the lowest amount of machine noise.

Pros
  • Volume control; One key to mute; Super small size; Passive device; No power needed; Won't affect sound quality
Cons
  • Limited number of inputs and outputs

Jury Is Still Out On This One

The control looks good and does just what I wanted it to. However, I am fairly certain there is a drop in volume level (turned up to max) and sound quality when using this. I have yet to do an A/B comparison between this control and the other cheap switcher I was using. I'll either adjust my rating up or down when I confirm one way or the other. I don't expect audiophile quality from a cheap little control at all, but I expected it to match the other switch's capability. My application is a home

I Love the looks and functionality of this device

This item works and seems to be well made. One of the things I liked about it most was that it's bare bones and has a single purpose. I did remove the R5 and R6 resistors and the difference is noticeable but just slightly. the volume difference when turning the knob is not gradual so I turn it slowly and often back and forth just a bit to find the sweet spot I want. The mute button and the A B switch button work well. Sound quality is good in either direction (1 in - 2 out or 2 in - 1 out)…

Pros
  • 5.98 x 3.7 x 1.61 inches
Cons
  • Sadly, this product is nearly unusuable. When the volume on the box is turned up, it add

Amp + Volume Knob = Eh Kinda works?

A/B switch works flawlessly. No problems there. The problem/weird issue lies with the volume knob. You'll read other reviews that say the same, but I'm experiencing something different. I have a Dragonfly USB DAC + AMP connected to my PC, then the aux comes out to the input of the MC102. Then it splits into two sources. Unlike others, it seems as though my volume knob works --- I do not have extreme changes in volume with small movement, but actually the opposite. PC is on 100% volume, but when…

Pros
  • This audio switcher is a must-have for anyone looking to simplify their audio setup and enjoy seamless audio switching
Cons
  • Not suitable for larger rooms or outdoor use

It's just ok. on my review.

I'm using this product to send my iMac computer audio output to either my Sony MDR-7506 headphones or my Cambridge Soundworks powered desk stereo system with subwoofer. The first Nobsound unit I received generated mostly a lot of hum, but was promptly replaced via Walmart. The second unit is just ok. it works well with the headphones, where I need a lot of gain - i.e. the volume control is high. For the powered speakers, it's ok at high volume, but loses it at lower volumes, eventually giving…

Pros
  • You can easily share your audio with others thanks to this convenient switcher
Cons
  • Not intuitive to use

This thing is great

At my desk I have a desktop, and then a stand where I will set my laptop. I also have some speakers, and headphones.I connected (A) to my desktop audio out, (B) to my laptop dock audio out.in/out on the rear I connected to my speakersin/out on the front I use to connect my headphones when I want them. This thing works perfectly and does exactly what I want/need! I can switch back and forth from A/B as input, and the mute button is very convenient. The volume knob is nice also. I haven't had any…

Pros
  • The Little Bear MC102 is compatible with both passive speakers and headphones
Cons
  • Poor performance in noisy environments

Versatile device- and great customer service

You may have read the comments about the linearity of the volume, the "resistor" issue. I had this issue as I was trying to mix the line-level output of my computer to headphones, or switch to an amplified speaker. While it does this, the linearity of the volume knob will be off for the speakers; it's designed to be used with headsets/earbuds. The different impedances don't match. Douk sent me a very comprehensive reply quickly when I contacted them and explained the problem (which is…

Great product for my opinion

I used 2 different computers with the sound settings the same. Switching between the 2, there was no loss of sound, sounded exactly the same. Sound is clear and clean, no hums, static or anything else. I showed to a neighbor, now he wants one!

Pros
  • 2(1)-IN-1(2)-OUT 3.5mm Audio selector designed for customers having several audio sources and outputs
Cons
  • Poor sound quality

Decent but not fully isolated channels

I use this to share a set of speakers between my work computer and my play computer. When both computers are on and have audio plugged in as sources there is noise in the speaker that disappears when the computer not in use is unplugged. It comes back if the second computers audio is plugged back in. It is still easier to manage plugging in and out of this unit instead of the docking station, but it is still not the perfect "push a button to switch audio sources" that I was hoping for.

Pros
  • This audio switcher has one or two outputs, depending on your specific needs
Cons
  • Limited range of frequencies supported

Love this product - my new review

Love this product. I needed to share my speaker that I used for my television with my vinyl player and this worker perfectly. For whatever reason I used an audio splitter cable (before buying this product) and it didn't work for me, so I thought a switch (what this product is) might work instead. I can verify that even though the audio splitter did not work, this switch did. I am now able to listen to my vinyl records, and with the push of a button I am able to switch to the television audio. better than I expected

I love this little switch! It is more than what I was expecting, I originally just wanted a simple A/B switch box to switch the source of what my headphones are connected to but the added rheostat volume knob makes life MUCH better because I now just have one place to make volume adjustments instead of from the two separate sources. In my case I'm using the switch at work and I have one input connected to my smartphone and the other to my laptop. I only have to push a single button to switch…

Pros
  • This audio switcher has a 3.5mm stereo jack, making it compatible with a wide range of devices
Cons
  • Not compatible with high-end audio equipment

Great look for an audio switcher

I use this to switch between headphones and speakers at work. Takes up very little room on my desk and looks great. The in/outs are great so I can have all the cables coming out of just one side. The volume is a passive knob, so I don’t use it much, but it works. The roll-off is a bit abrupt, but not as much as some of reviews seemed to imply.

Pros
  • Its 3.5mm jacks are compatible with a wide range of devices, making it incredibly versatile
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with streaming services

On second unit.Hopefully it lasts.

--Updated Review--Review updated to reflect seller's quick reply to my unit malfunctioning after 2 months of use. They replied immediately and shipped out a replacement unit the same day. I got the replacement unit about 2 days later and it works as advertised. It really is a very useful tool for me and my 2-computer set-up. With this switch and my switches for HDMI, and USB, I can use the same monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers for two totally different computers.--Original Review--"B"…

Pros
  • The Little Bear MC102 is durable and built to last, ensuring that you get years of use out of it
Cons
  • Lacks Bluetooth connectivity

Works well as either a switch for 2 different sources for a single amp/headphones or for a single source feeding 2 different output devices. Mute switch has NO "bounce" and is quiet. The A/B switch does not isolate grounds between the inputs nor does it have a switch to lift the ground. This is fine for battery powered devices, but can be an issue with 2 sources using switching power supplies or one with a linear supply and the other a switcher. I added a transformer isolation on one input to…

Pros
  • It's perfect for use in a variety of settings, including home theaters, music studios, and more
Cons
  • Difficult to troubleshoot

switching between computer speakers and headphones

Summary: I got tired of plugging/unplugging my bose QC25s and computer speakers.Pros: 1) excellent build quality, 2) new version which features the rear port so that all inputs (2) and outputs are on the same side, 3) sounds quality appears good, and no feedback or errant noise.cons: The range of the volume adjuster is a little too sensitive, in that you have to turn the knob a 1/4 turn (the full range is less than a full turn) to make a small volume adjustment.Update (05/2019): 3D printed a…

Pros
  • New version adopts customized potentiometers and isolation modules, which can fix the possible volume adjustment and background noises. We also add a new 3.5mm port between A&B ports according to some customers' needs.
Cons
  • Limited range of connections

Doesn’t work at line level

There are two issues. First is that it introduces a static even though it’s a passive device. Second if line level is provided as an input with output to a PC line-in, it sends vol reduce to the OS. If you press the mute button the volume reduction stops. In addition the volume doesn’t seem to attenuate any of the line level audio that goes through it. At Minimum it just cuts off. Like other reviewers mentioned it looks sturdily built but a shame that it isn’t working. Unfortunately had to…

Pros
  • This audio switcher is incredibly affordable, allowing you to enjoy high-quality audio switching without breaking the bank
Cons
  • Prone to static interference

Works, but volume dial is not great

This works for my needs, which is to have an A/B switch between my speakers and headphones. However, I noticed the volume dial doesn't work very well. When the volume dial is turned all the way down, the sound output is very quiet. As soon as the knob is turned the slightest bit, the sound output rapidly climbs to 75% of full volume with just a small adjustment of the knob. Then the remainder of the knob's rotation brings the volume from 75% to 100%.I'm happy with this so far. I would like a…

Pros
  • Whether you're using headphones or passive speakers, this audio switcher makes it easy to switch between devices
Cons
  • No LED indicators

Works well for its purpose.

I routinely travel with two small powered satellite and subwoofer speakers but listen between a tablet and a hi-res audio player. The two attributes that were appealing for this product were the ability to share two sources with one target but to have a "master volume control" to adjust the level once everything else was in balance between the speakers and woofers. The construction quality is good and the controls work fine. I wish it was fully enclosed and not constructed in "layers" but that…

  • The Little Bear MC102 boasts high-quality audio, ensuring that your music, movies, and other media sound great
Cons
  • No volume controls

Oh, modern conveniences!

This thing is awesome! I was worried about all the reviews that mentioned the hissing and crackling beyond 75% volume, but I have NONE of that. I'm inputting my laptop audio to the input, and a set of headphones and speakers to the two outputs. I have the volume maxed at the PC and only control the volume with the knob on this unit. Funny, I was going to build one, and with the quantities available to build the unit I could have built 2 for the price of this one, but I would not have had a…
