Cutting braided wire with a hacksaw was difficult. I removed about 5 inches below the sink to make sure only the solid tubing remained. The outer nut is screwed onto the outer rubber cover. The inner nipple is then screwed into the tip. It handles 3750 pounds with no problem. I'll do it again on the other end if that fails.
