These are great devices that offer smooth performance. The warning is that not all doors and jambs are created equal. In my house the seal is very tight which means you have to really push/close the door and make some effort to turn the key. They run on batteries and are actually on the motor to lock the locking bolt. If there is too much wobble, the motor/bolt will give up wherever it is. The batteries can only move with minimal force and the bolt stops with a wiggle to avoid blowing up the motor. Just make sure your door closes freely before you buy it. They work very well on interior doors, but performance is a bit mixed on exterior doors exposed to outside temperatures. They are strong and for the right doors they work perfectly. The app is easy to use and it's just great technology. I just want mine to work with my doors.
