I have two problems with this burner. It's hard to hold while burning because you can't hold it like a pen. The pen does not fit close enough to the tip. And the heating mode does not change. There are only two settings: a little hot and very hot. Of course, you'll have to pay a bit more to get any of the above. So let's look at what it is, not what it isn't. This is an easy wood burning pen for beginners. Low settings can slow you down when burning - probably a big plus for beginners. At high settings, you'll need to move fairly quickly to avoid burning out. Another plus is that you get a fairly large number of different types of feathers and two additional feathers.
