Review on πŸ”΄ Red Hound Auto Rear Bumper End Caps 1997-2006 for Jeep Wrangler TJ Black (Left and Right Side Compatible) by Patrick Reid

Overpriced and poor fit/function

These stock bumper end caps were ordered and installed on a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ. These end caps replace the nasty "milk cans" that come attached to the rear bumper from the factory. I bought them purely for cosmetic reasons until I settled on a bumper and tire carrier option. They arrived quickly and were well packaged, but that's where the positives end. For the price, fastening material, at least adjusting nuts, should be included with these devices. As others have said they are overpriced for what you get, especially when you see how they fit. I knew about the price so it wasn't a problem for me. What is a problem for me is paying too much for something that doesn't even fit properly (see photo). The overhang is too big and they don't fit properly in the groove on the rear bumper. It's like pinching them there and then forcing them as straight as possible before locking the hardware (which you had to buy) in place. Bottom line to that. I cannot and would not recommend this item to anyone. I really think you are better off doing nothing than wasting your time and money doing it.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Some issues
