He's doing his job. It is much easier to replace this entire assembly and not just the motor. I have done both. The motor is riveted to the chain system and because of the price difference it's just the easier way. If it's running slow, check the wheel track on the inside of the door. My track widened causing the wheel to lock up and the glass to slowly go up. I think that's what caused my last motor to burn out. After I fixed that, everything worked great.
