I bought a cable to connect a first gen Oculus Rift CV1 to the USB-C port on my new Asus 2080 RTX connect to. Unfortunately, the picture kept going black again after a few seconds. So I wrote to the support and immediately got an answer that I should do a firmware update. This also worked well. But the error was still there. On the Reddit forum I found a similar experience for the HDMI and Rift extensions. One wrote that he ordered a new HDMI/USB cable from Oculus and then the HDMI extender works. So I ordered a new cable and the USB-C adapter actually works great. And haptic feedback also works without any problems. The adapter doesn't heat up either, like all the cheap Chinese USB-C to HDMI adapters. I also want to provide support. They responded very quickly and were very nice. Now I am very satisfied and therefore give 5 stars.
