Works right out of the box - NOTE. Requires USB-C port for VirtuaLink Integrated GPU

I needed HDMI on my RTX 2080 for another device (drawing tablet) but it was taken by Oculus Rift. In the meantime, an unused VirtuaLink USB-C port was available on the GPU. The Accell adapter was the solution to this very problem. Not only did this free up HDMI for my drawing tablet, it also freed up a USB3 port on the motherboard, making effective use of the Virtua Link RTX 2080 connector to reach for the Rift headset (that is, I personally don't need one since I actually sitting at my desk…

I bought a cable to connect a first gen Oculus Rift CV1 to the USB-C port on my new Asus 2080 RTX connect to. Unfortunately, the picture kept going black again after a few seconds. So I wrote to the support and immediately got an answer that I should do a firmware update. This also worked well. But the error was still there. It did not work. (Update: It was an Oculus cable bug)

Running the latest Windows 10, RTX 2070 with driver version 419.35 and USB 3.0 speed headset connection was detected. But it is NOT shown at all. It would detect when the headset was on your head and even play audio and get feedback when you blindly hover over menu items. But I would refuse to show it. While the proximity sensor was tracking that someone was wearing it, the Oculus menu's Devices tab said "Bad Tracking". sent a replacement Oculus cable for review as I replaced that cable…

Not exactly plug and play. Make sure you are not using an HDMI extension cable.

I have an RTX 2080ti. I connected the adapter to the GPU, started Oculus and put on the headset. I didn't see anything, but I heard the main screen loading. Removed the headset and started troubleshooting. Checked everything from USB device drivers to GPU firmware and motherboard firmware. Everything was updated but nothing worked. I then tried updating the firmware for the actual adapter, which you MUST DO MANUALLY. Windows Update cannot find the files needed to update the firmware. You need…
