Review on πŸ“Ά Teltonika 4G LTE RUT955 Router by Mark Green

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Only one LTE antenna was included. Bad start. **Update: Hassle-free returns***

This thing came right out of the box with no instructions and just an LTE antenna. I will contact the seller or manufacturer and see if this issue can be resolved. My Overall Rating: I just wanted to let you know if anyone is considering buying Teltonika RUT955. Long story short, I live in remote areas where AT&T typically has 100Mbps or less, so I'm always scouting and testing devices to make the most of weaker signals. In general, it came down to antennas; When I used the paddles from my Mofi4500 on the RUT955 the speeds were identical. With the antennas that came with the RUT955, they were used much slower and weaker. So while mofi is much more efficient, it really came down to antennas for this remote area I'm in. However, the customer service from Teltonika (nearest office closes in Canada) was terrible and unhelpful. Let's start by saying that my package came without an antenna. However, inside the box was a random video capture device, an old and outdated device with S-Video and RCA connectors. This was made to copy from a VCR or DVD player to a USB device connected to your computer, which uses its software to record that audio and video. I guess they ship by weight and somehow it got there instead of the antenna, I don't know. It took them a long time to agree to send the antenna but after 2 weeks nothing has been sent. Luckily, Revain tried to fix the problem on her behalf, but when it came down to it, it was worth the money to just send it back. I wouldn't want to deal with Teltonika again. I actually really like the modem but the ordering process and lack of service will put this whole company on the list of companies I will never order from again.
