This is a big improvement over my beginner board. To be quite fair though the jacks were a bit noisy but for the price I would say it's optimal but I would suggest adding a little extra bucks to your budget to get better jacks. For the bushings I have medium sized Orangan nipples which only cost about $15 but are definitely worth it. With these two additions, my board now rides smoother than before. High quality, durable metal and the simplicity of the truck's construction make it great for such a price in my opinion. Out of personal preference I have been given unfinished (unpainted) trucks based on suggestions I've heard from other reviews and some bad reviews about paint defects. I just took her word for it and I'm glad I did. I personally don't think I have anything to complain about.
