Review on OsiriX MD by Tim Burns
An easy way for physicians in radiology department
I like that there are many options to choose from when it comes time to edit your images as well as having multiple file formats available such as DICOM SAVED FILES or JPEGs which helps me save space while still being able of storing my files safely online at no cost! There isn't anything i dislike about this software but if you're looking into something similar then check out other programs first because they might have more features than what osirix has (such as NReco).
This program allows us access our patient's scan data without needing them physically present so we can view their scans quickly using computerized tomography angiogram(cta) reports.
Pros
- The ability for quick image storage
- Ability create customizable templates.
- Easy navigation through different imaging studies with ease
- Image quality is excellent, resolution high enough where even small bones become visible in radiographs; also good contrast between soft tissues & bone structures allowing easy identification/interpretation by clinicians
Cons
- Limited functionality compared against 3rd party medical viewer
