Okay, this is the only stun collar we've ever used, but we love it. We have a Labradoodle and his hair is very thick and curly so we had to shave some of his neck to make it work. We have been training with him for a month and our dog has grown into a great walker and his evaluation is very reliable. We always vibrate first and if he doesn't obey we shock him. We only had to shock him twice, now he only reacts well to vibrations. We've also trained a strong recall with a beeper and have yet to find the borderline. We can call on him from a far greater distance than we could call on him. The remote control battery lasts a month, we need to charge the collar every 2-3 weeks and we use it 2 hours a day.
