Will drain your battery! Not meant to be left on all the time, that was the whole point :(

I originally wrote a 5 star review saying this is the ONLY hub that needs to stay permanently connected to your MacBook Yes it does it's easy to detach but that's how any flush USB-C hub will be and you can put a piece of tape on the bottom to hold it in place so it seemed to work great, BUT I then noticed that the LIGHT on the hub is ALWAYS on, even when my MacBook was off for several hours, which made me concerned at how much battery it was using. After measuring the battery drop overnight with and without the hub , I found that this hub used 11% of my battery in 8 hours *on its own* In other words, if you leave your laptop unplugged for a day, it will use a third of your battery Emlemo There was no reason for them to turn on the light - it doesn't do anything, so I'd only recommend this hub if you're going to have your MacBook plugged in most of the time. Traveling with it is a terrible drain on the battery. Unfortunately I now have to bring this back and look for another hub that doesn't turn on a totally unnecessary light.
