
After two passes over a groove in a pine board, the shaft broke (see photo). The shaft must have hardened too much and become too brittle. The cutter did not overheat, the wood did not burn. I tried to return an item but I get a message saying it's non-refundable. I also assumed it was made in the USA and the inside of the box said 'Made in China'.
