I wanted to keep my original hard drive and put another new hard drive (WD Scorpio Black) in my old computer but it didn't have an extra hard drive bay. The only options were to place it in the optional 5.25-inch bay below the CD drive bay, or buy a more expensive external hard drive. So I had to tweak the holes in the bay a bit to get them positioned the way I wanted, but it wasn't a big deal. The mount can be installed 3 different ways in my bay, so I'm guessing it will fit any 5.25" bay. As stated in the description, the brackets come with 8 mounting screws and are threaded for these screws. The screws are not the same. The four screws fit into the threaded holes on the sides of the hard drive to secure it to the bracket. The remaining four are attached to the side of the tray to hold the bracket. This product works so I recommend it and buy from Amamax as I've dealt with it before and haven't had any issues.
