This syringe is well made and seems to be quite durable. It is of course suitable for one-handed operation, which is essential when feeding chicks without another pair of hands. This saved my pigeons which recently hatched in one day. Her mother left her immediately. The father kept them warm but did not feed them. I sent home this one-day formula to make feeding babies easier. This really makes their feeding much better and more efficient. The tips are all very flexible and soft (but not flimsy). I currently use the smallest tip to insert it into the baby pigeon's mouth and into its crop. Then I slowly add the pigeon formula (I use the Kaytee Exact Handfeeding formula) to the crop. As the pigeons get bigger I will use larger tips to insert the crop. The syringe is easy to clean. It has components that allow you to disassemble it for ventilation. I no longer have to worry about using those disposable syringes because of this syringe.
