I bought this for several reasons. #1 We have a lot of heat that comes in our front door, so I was looking for something to help block the heat in the summer, but still allow some light come thru. #2 Our front door is all glass, so anyone can see in. #3 we have a dog that barks at a blade of grass blowing in the wind. This item fit the bill. When looking in it looks like there really are blinds on the door and side panels. When outside, you can not see through at all. When I stand on the inside and someone is on the outside the most you can see if some fuzzy gray blob on the other side and vise versa. It is impossible for my dog to bark at everything on the other side of the door. I highly recommend this product. A few things to note on installation. Wet your door.A LOT. The more water on your glass, the better the film will stick. Once you get it started run your hand or squeegee down with it to keep bubbles out. When cutting the film to the size of your door DO NOT have too much extra to cut away on the sides. Manufacturer stated to have 1cm, I did 1 inch and had a hard time cutting. Do as mfg states and only cut a little away. It will make install so much easier. I plan on buying more and doing other areas.
