These windmills are amazing. I was hesitant at first because the Peugeot website seemed to promote the Alaska model more; makes me think that Zeli is an older model and Alaska is an upgraded product. But I chose the Zeli because it's slightly shorter than the Alaska, which means it's less likely to tip over. The rollover is important because I broke four Cole & Hahn mills. But what makes me really happy is that the Zeli mills actually produce much better pepper and salt than the Cole Hahn and Trudeua I've had. Very powerful and fast engines. Inside the Zeli there is an extra lock in the top assembly to ensure the top case holds the battery/motor assembly. I like it because Trudeau and Cole Hahn's mills slipped through friction alone. Not a big deal except that if the locking tabs broke (due to the tipping) I had to use my other hand to hold the top of the bottom. Otherwise when I press the button, the bottom falls apart and falls into the pan! This cannot happen to Zeli due to the additional suspension. The main lock is a twist lock that holds the top assembly to the ground and is longer than Trudeau or Cole Hahn. This means that the plastic mount is physically larger. If I drop the windmill it better hold up. Zeli grinders are a great cooking tool. I used to have to wait and wait with my old grinders for the pepper to build up enough. I would say Zeli produces at least twice as much. This is great when a recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of freshly ground pepper. Additionally, cooking spices on a hot grill should take less time. I'm very satisfied... I hope they last for many years. Updated 09/01/2017. Well the 3 year old finally broke the pepper grinder and I can't find any parts online. This windmill has fallen and toppled countless times, but unfortunately it ended up surviving too many falls. One of the two lower lock rails broke. I taped it with a gorilla and it worked for several months but now the lock tongue has broken. It still works when I hold the two halves together, but it hurts. So I will buy another one as it was very satisfying.
