I bought these filters because my HVAC technician used them when servicing my air conditioner. He told me that the company he works for only uses these filters. And the company is quite large and has been operating for many years. So I took it as confirmation. Why don't I use what the pros use? The HVAC tech also told me that those other filters that claim to block viruses and bacteria - you know filters that cost $15-20 each - can restrict airflow and actually damage your heating/cooling system. Besides, why buy those expensive filters at all? You will get sick anyway, and everyone knows that the best way to prevent getting sick is to wash your hands. The last thing my HVAC specialist mentioned was to change the filter no later than every 30 days. Some filters you buy say they're good for 90 days. Well, it all depends on what's in your channel. Ever since I found them, I've changed mine every 30 days. Bottom Line: These filters are inexpensive, recommended by a professional, and work.
