Review on Imperial Louvered Metal Screen GG 4W by Michael Montgomery

Firstly, apart from the rodent screen being knocked out during shipping (it took a minute to put it back on) this is a well made unit which I have now installed and it works well. However, it turns out that there is a lot more variety in these cases than I had imagined. My old cap fit the outside of my breather tube. This one fits in. So I had to do a little surgery with pliers on the tube to allow it to slide in. Also, my old cap had an outer square flange that also fitted into a matching vent, making for a good weather seal. It doesn't have anything like that (not their fault, it's a proprietary thing for which I'd have to match the brand exactly). So this sticks out about 1/4 inch from the wall and doesn't use a weather seal which I doubt will make a difference. But I will keep trying to find an exact match for my old one. They're so cheap that I won't consider it a waste of money even though I find an exact match soon.
