is well built and does the job well. It's easy to read and has foolproof labels for proper storage temperature of cold and frozen foods. Working in military catering, I cannot stress enough the importance of having a thermometer in your cold stores. how else do you know your groceries are stored properly? you don't.if you don't have thermometers. I noticed that the temperature in my freezer wasn't what it should be. it was almost 10 degrees too warm! After adjusting the setup everything was fine. Without a thermometer I would never know and would have to rely on the manufacturer's recommended freezer settings (which is a bad idea). Even if your freezer has a built-in digital thermometer, you still need a thermometer that lives in the freezer because sooner or later all electronic devices fail or give incorrect readings. Types that invariably drop out within a short period of time. This one is pretty durable as industrial and maybe even home thermometers keep falling off depending on where and how you install it. This is a high quality NSF approved thermometer and well worth the money.
