Review on Creative Sound BlasterX G5 7.1 HD Audio External Sound Card: Enhance Surround Sound on PC/Mac/PS4/Consoles by Matthew Marquez

Bought the SoundblasterX G5 because I needed an alternative to Astro Mixamp. I only play on PS4 and own the 2013 and Mixamp TR versions but wasn't happy with the sound quality. I'm not a fan of virtual surround sound, so I've never used this feature. I mainly used the Mixamp as an amplifier. I did some research on the G5 and bought it. It was very easy to set up and it works amazingly well. The overall volume is much higher than any mixamp, but the sound quality is much better. The G5 currently switches between a Logitech G Pro headset and a Hyperx Cloud Alpha without breaking a sweat. Very impressed with the G5 and highly recommend if you need a DAC/amp but not a mixamp.
